Biohotel Stanglwirt is a one of
a kind wood and stone hotel 10 minutes from the ski resort of Kitzbühel.
Inspired by a book called ‘The Green House’, the hotel was built without
nails on farmland adhering to eco-friendly principles. Family Hauser, owners of the hotel, is still
buying up land around the hotel to conserve the area and protect the fabulous
views of the mountains and up the valley.
This spa hotel understands how
to mix indulgence with healthy living and its interiors have a unique twist.
Inside, guests will find the spa with its baths at different temperatures and
aromas tucked between rocks, waterfalls and caves, fed by the hotels own
spring. Some of the treatments on offer include Thalasso bath packages,
Ayurveda treatments, special treatments for mums-to-be and a profi-lift power
massage - a type of yoga for the face. A must try is an open air massage
where all you hear is the sound of nature.
Everything
at Biohotel Stanglwirt is of the very finest standard, which is one of the
reasons why the hotel has recently added the luxurious Dior beauty product
range to its shelves. Special treatments applied by Dior-trained therapists
can be booked from autumn 2009. The Stanglwirt is currently the only hotel in
Austria to offer Dior products and treatments.
Many guests are also drawn by
hiking in the valley. The Tirol region has two certified guides working fo r
this ‘Nature Watch’ hotel to lead guests on guided walks with the use of
£2,000 Swarovski binoculars. Other outdoor recreation includes horseback
riding on one of the Stanglwirt’ s own Lipizzaner horses. No matter what your
