Ebner’s
Waldhof am See Hotel Resort & Spa****
www.ebners-waldhof.at
The location is the first thing
that impresses when you arrive at this picturesque spa resort. An enviable
romantic setting on the shores of Lake Fuschl and the superb facilities of
this 4-star superior resort are truly breathtaking. Ebner’s Waldhof has a
warm and relaxed atmosphere, and offers sensational spa facilities and
exquisite cuisine. The h otel is one of the leading hotels in the
Salzkammergut Lake District with exemplary hospitality and service. In 2005,
Ebner's Waldhof was the first hotel in
the Salzburg area to be awarded the ‘Alpine Wellness’ spa hotel status
- the result of years of experience and innovative spa and beauty treatments.
Try a hay bath which cleanses,
decontaminates and stimulates your metabolism, while gentle on the
cardiovascular system. Also relaxing and re-energising is the rose stamping
massage, a very pleasant treatment where the whole body is treated with
warmed oil, then stamped with a pouch of hot herbs followed by fast strokes
along the energy channels.
This summer, take advantage of the
newly extended 4000sqm wellness area - now the biggest in the region, with
the first ever alpine herb kitchen at its core. This is a kitchen with a
difference, where beneficial fresh
local herbs are prepared and distilled daily to be used for hydrotherapy, the
refinement of crèmes and the preparation of soaps. New to explore is the ‘sun
gallery’ with over 70 relaxation lounges, juice bar, a sauna with views onto
an open fireplace, and a 35°C whirlpool. New facilities also include a gym
and fitness area with views of beautiful Lake Fuschlsee. Be pampered in one
of 13 new treatment rooms or book the new private ‘Berg Sauna’ spa area for
two. Here, guests can get spoiled exclusively and enjoy sauna, baths,
massages, or other treatments in ultimate privacy.
For a relaxing swim between
treatments don’t miss the new 200sqm heated outdoor pool. All this
re-energising might increase your appetite. As the concept of well-being also
of course includes healthy eating, the ‘Vitalküche’ of Alexander Ebner has
been recognised in the Gault Millau Guide 2009.The focus is of course on
healthy cooking and the chef surprises guests daily with a new delicious menu
based on wild herbs from the region.
After enjoying scrumptious cuisine,
why not take a stroll to admire the beautiful scenery that surrounds the
hotel, or try your golfing skills at the new Golf Club Waldhof which offers a
9-hole course and is only a 10-minute walk away. Or, if you prefer to put your feet up, simply retreat to one of
the hotel’s 40 newly refurbished suites for the ultimate in comfort.
